No-Bake Treats

I know what you're thinking right now. Yes, I have the powers of mind reading. But I am using them for good. Because I know that right now you're thinking: "I'm hot." There's a pretty good chance, that wherever you are in the world, the temperatures are high, and the prospect of turning on the oven is not an exciting one. To that end, here are nine recipes that have no (or little) oven use to keep you just a little bit cooler this season.

The frozen:
These two treats have the added bonus of not only requiring no oven, but being deliciously cooling as well. Plus, neither require an ice cream machine, so get to it right away!
1. Strawberry Sorbet

2. Lemon Ice Cream

The fun:
These two treats are cute desserts or snacks you can make with the kids - no oven or stove required - just a microwave!
1. Cookie Dough Truffles
 2. Chocolate Covered Pretzels

The sweet:
These two fun candy recipes are a touch more effort than you might be up to on these hot summer days, but the payoff is totally worth it. Plus, when you eat the peppermint patties right out of the freezer, they are pretty refreshingly delicious.
1. Peppermint Patties
2. Chocolate-Covered Honeycomb Candy

The Semi No-Bake
These next three desserts aren't quite oven-free. But I've included them because they're pretty darn close - two use the oven just to dry things out - at 200F or less, and another only uses the oven for 10 minutes (plus, though I can't recommend this 100%, you can always buy a graham cracker crust and skip this entirely). Happy no-baking!
1. Candied Orange Peel
2. Key Lime Tart
3. Homemade Apple Chips
